Mechanical installations for commercial and industrial buildings
Once a building outgrows domestic scale, the installations are done differently - to a project plan, coordinating several contractors and site supervision, with equipment sized for larger flows and loads. AQUATIM carries out complete mechanical installations for business premises, halls and production plants: water, drainage, heating and cooling, boiler rooms and distribution for larger systems, with an invoice to the company and a warranty on the handed-over building.
We work to the project and to the priced bill of quantities, so you know exactly what is included and what it costs before we start. On larger buildings the installations aren't viewed separately - water, drainage, heating and cooling have to be coordinated with each other and with the building and electrical works, so we coordinate with the contractor and site supervision throughout the build.
For heating and cooling larger buildings we build boiler rooms, distribution for larger systems and connections to heat and cooling sources of the right capacity. Pipes, pumps, manifolds and fittings are chosen for the flow and pressure the system actually needs, not to domestic standards - in a hall or plant the loads are different and the equipment has to handle them.
We finish the job by commissioning and handing over the building - pressure testing, balancing the system and handing over the accompanying documentation. For companies we issue an invoice to the company and give a warranty on the handed-over building, with clearly agreed terms before we start.
